This will give you two 3 feet wide cabinets on the ends and a 2 foot wide cabinet in the middle. The 3 4 plywood case eliminates panel jointing planing and glue ups. A wall cabinet in its most basic form is little more than a plywood box that is securely mounted on the wall. Standard counter depth is 25 which the cabinets themselves being 24 to allow for a 1 countertop lip.
To frame out the cabinets secure 8 foot 2x4s perpendicular at 36 across and 60 across. Build the front of the frame in the same pattern as the back 8 feet wide and 8 feet tall. Overlaps on the sides let you fine tune the cabinet width during installation. The best material for building cabinets is plywood 3 4 inch plywood for the box sides top bottom and shelves.
Wall cabinets typically have one or more shelves not including the bottom of the cabinet and may or may not have doors. Birch purebond plywood full sheets are best but 2 8 sheets would work as well. Standard counter height is 36 with the cabinets usually being around 34 5 tall to allow room for the countertop material. Cut plywood to make the doors to fit these openings.
